MAINTENANCE CONTROLLER Job Opening in Anchorage, Alaska - Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated decision making ability.
2. Ability to prioritize.
3. Airframe and Power plant Certificate preferred.
4. Working knowledge of company GMM.
5. Competent in Microsoft Office suite programs and ability to learn company software.
Authority:
1. Provide the SOC Director operational aircraft availability for dispatch.
2. Liaison between maintenance and other departments.
3. Establish and maintain method to track the aircraft status, location, configuration, discrepancy estimated time of completion (ETIC), and MEL/Deferral status.
4. Provide precise and on time communication regarding all technical related schedule disruptions.
Responsibility:
1. Provide technical, administrative and logistical support for in-service aircraft to ensure safe, on-time performance.
2. Continuous monitoring of the aircraft status by means of close communication with maintenance, traffic, and operations department.
3. Communicate with SOC Director and Maintenance Manager to update aircraft maintenance plan as a result of changes due to day-to-day operation.
4. Advise SOC Director on matters of aircraft status and availability.
5. Ensure proper use and interpretation of company GMM within SOC.
6. Coordinate with Maintenance Manager and Director of SOC to schedule aircraft utilization and maintenance.
7. Monitor out-of-service aircraft activities.
8. Monitor scheduled aircraft maintenance activities including but not limited to E-Check and Heavy Check.
9. Continually monitor aircraft deferred discrepancies and coordinate with maintenance management to ensure each is corrected within allowed time limits.
10. Ensure proper tracking to avoid over-flight of deferred maintenance items.
11. Provide real-time, expert advice on MEL interpretation and aircraft dispatch ability.
12. Coordinate efforts to recover off-station AOG aircraft:
a. Logistics for parts and tooling required.
b. Maintenance for manpower.
c. Traffic for airlift capability.
d. On-site maintenance personnel.
Training Requirements:
1. Initial and recurrent maintenance training.
Validation of controls:
1. CAS, OPLM.
2. Audits.
3. Annual performance evaluations.
