Job responsibilities:
You will be primarily responsible for completing ARC engagements in accordance with the firm?s policies and procedures. Audit engagements will be performed under GAAS with oversight provided by the firm?s audit partner. Reviewed and compiled financial statements will be performed under SSARS. Other assignments will include preparation of corporate, partnership, individual, non-profit, fiduciary and personal property tax returns. As part of these engagements, you will communicate directly with clients, senior staff and partners as needed.
Other responsibilities will include maintaining tax and ARC knowledge through education and technical readings, reviewing and responding to tax agency audits, inquiries and tax notices, preparing and researching tax projections and tax planning opportunities, assisting with the firm?s annual internal inspection and completing or overseeing other special projects as requested.
Job requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in public accounting preparing compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements
Minimum 2 years experience in public accounting preparing various levels of tax returns
Degree in Accounting or other major with tax and accounting course work completed or equivalent experience
Firm desires employees at this level to be working toward obtaining CPA certification, but this is not required
Deadline driven, results oriented individual
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work as a team and independently
Intermediate knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software
Knowledge of basic functionality of QuickBooks or equivalent accounting software
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
