Catering Sales Manager Job Opening in Freeport, Maine - Emerald Hospitality Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to serve as the Catering Sales Manager for the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Freeport, ME.
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for the following tasks:
Treat all guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
Detail and finalize all banquet/meetings for sales bookings and complete banquet event orders for meeting room functions/catering functions.
Assist with overnight guestroom and group block bookings as needed.
Assist with sales efforts in on-site restaurant.
Maintain and solicit sales files for repeat catering business.
Abide by prime selling time and meet selling goals based on hotel budget.
Maintain communication between all departments regarding customer requirements for catering and meeting business.
Assist Banquet Managers when necessary in supervision of banquet personnel to ensure group/catering functions are coordinated in a timely fashion.
Ensure that the Daily Event List, BEO/Guarantee Sheet and Ten Day Event Schedule are generated on a timely basis and ensure accuracy.
Attend and participate in Staff, Sales and BEO meetings.
Other tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate must possess:
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of 2 years? experience in hotel sales or related field
Ability to stand for an extended period
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Ability to display a high degree of professionalism and integrity
Enjoy working as a part of a team
Preferred candidate will have:
Additional college course work with emphasis on hospitality or sales
Candidate with strong wedding is a plus.
