TECHNICAL EDI ANALYST Job Opening in Minneapolis, Minnesota - Position Description
***Relocation package is available for the right out-of-state applicant!
***5 years EDI healthcare experience is required.
The EDI Analyst creates and maintains technical requirements and system design for EDI transaction solutions, in line with software development standards and policies. Deep understanding of ANSII ASC X12 file standards is needed, with emphasis on the healthcare related 837P, 837I, 835, 834.
Collaborates with EDI Operations Analyst, software engineers, software architect and security
analysts for development, testing, documentation and implementation of EDI solutions. Functions as technical liaison with technical contacts at trading partner and other organizations.
Assist in the preparation and documentation of EDI software requirements and specifications.
Conduct research on changes in EDI standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
Schedule, stop, start and install workflows per DBA specifications or other IT processes.
Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the EDI process.
Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and companion guides.
Install software products for end users as required.
Collaborate with other members of the IS department to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems related to EDI processing.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor degree in Computer Science; or experience may be considered without a degree
Required Experience
Five years of technical Healthcare EDI experience. Experience with mapping of Healthcare EDI transactions, including, but not limited to ANSII ASC X12 file standards with emphasis on the healthcare related 837P, 837I, 835, and 834 transaction sets. Software troubleshooting experience and knowledge of applicable data and HIPAA privacy practices and laws.
Software troubleshooting experience and knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle, especially developing functional requirements, software development, and unit testing. Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile.
Preferred Experience
Experience with administration functions with BizTalk for EDI data integration.
Two years of experience working on Agile teams with experience in developing Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria. Experience in Test Driven Development and automated unit testing. Knowledge of others Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, Feature Driven Development (FDD).
