Grants Accountant Job Opening in Providence, Rhode island - As a Grant Accountant you will assume responsibility for post award grant accounting; thus ensuring compliance with funding source administrative guidelines, timely receipt of revenue, accurate submission of financial reports, A-133 Audit, and orderly closure of projects.
Will assist the Accounting Manager with general accounting duties, such as, month end reconciliations, billings, etc.
Education Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience is required.
Experience
2 years of relevant experience in a Grant Accounting role
Full range of experience
Revenue experience
Knowledge of federal regulations related to sponsored programs
Balance and income sheet reconciliation experience
Advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of general accounting and fiscal management policies
Ability to work with minimal supervision and work collaboratively with others
Computer word processing and spreadsheet skills are necessary.
In depth knowledge of OMB circulars and NIH, FDA, DOD guidelines and regulations.
Database experience is required.
Hospital experience is highly preferred
