Staff Accountant - TEMPORARY Job Opening in Cranston, Rhode island - This is a full-time TEMPORARY opportunity.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Research and address cash issues with own stores. Reconciles multi-store cash account(s). Handles the credit card chargeback process through resolution with appropriate parties.
Assists in the month-end close process and account reconciliations related to various legal entities within Swarovski.
Journal entry preparation.
Account reconciliations associated with cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany accounts.
Creation and settlement of WBS elements ? wholesale division.
Sales reporting to various landlords ?
Preparation related to quarterly intercompany charges invoiced back to another affiliate ? combination of actual expenses plus 1 month estimate. Deviations in actuals vs. estimates are invoiced in the following quarter.
Responsible for opening/closing of bank accounts, merchant numbers for new stores or entities. Quarterly conduct proximity study - > shift to one of 3 key banking partners if appropriate. (BofA, Wells Fargo and JP Morgan Chase).
Providing support to retail store managers on issues that may arise related to cash, end of day close, gift certificates, merchandise credits, and other store processes, etc.
Sales Audit Processes, daily cash reconciliations from POS to Bank to SAP.
Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns.
Participates with special projects and/or other accounting tasks as needed
WHAT WE EXPECT
Bachelor?s degree B.A. in accounting OR one to three years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
