Sales Manager- Direct Selling Channel Job Opening in Orange, California - The Regional Sales Manager (RSM), Direct Selling channel (MLM) will be responsible for the introduction and development of new and existing customers for MeriCal products (a vitamin, mineral, supplement and probiotic company). The RSM will assess the necessary strategy and collaboration with key stakeholders to develop the product line necessary to compete in the health food class of trade. This role will also successfully manage the sales cycles to produce incremental sales and profits for MeriCal.
Essential Job Functions
Develop and present market level business plans and programs to Purchasing, Research & Development, Marketing, and business development groups within Direct Sellers;
Regional responsibility for volume, distribution and profit goals and objectives. Perform annual market level business and performance reviews with brokers, distributors, and retailers;
Must understand market pricing of commodity and specialty ingredients and formulations
Excellent track record of sales and sales management experience with major supplement manufacturers or ingredient companies;
Product development experience including owner brand development; identification of product extension opportunities within account mix along with associated cost and volume;
Extensive knowledge of the major Direct Sellers marketing dietary supplements;
Must have established contact relationships with key executives and personnel within the Direct Selling industry;
Strong scientific and product knowledge of supplements, vitamins and minerals;
Working knowledge of the scientific and regulatory aspects of the dietary supplement business, including quality standards.
Work Experience Requirements
Must have a 5-7 year history of successful sales management of nutritional supplements in the Direct Selling channel, including demonstrated results in growing sales and target revenue;
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint , Word, Outlook;
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills;
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments accordingly.
Education Requirements
Bachelors of Science Degree required in a Science related field or Business;
Master?s Degree preferred but not required.
