Staff Accountant Job Opening in Providence, Rhode island - Staff Accountant
A large manufacturing company needs an experienced Staff Accountant to successfully manage the organization?s financial recording and reporting. The ideal candidate will want to build on their current accounting experience and also want to advance their accounting career.
Responsibilities
Assist Controller with daily operational procedures
Oversight of the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions
Preparation and input of journal entries
Track inventory quantity and monetary value
Partner with the Controller to assist with certain cost accounting functions
Manage the fixed asset database for additions, disposals and transfers
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Accounting degree preferred
Work experience within a similar role and industry
