We are looking for a Compliance Specialist. The job responsibilities include;
Develops, implements and maintains a standardized quality improvement plan for the Medicaid Waivers and other insurances to ensure compliance with external regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Develops and analyzes reports to monitor and evaluate quality performance in meeting established goals related to quality improvement plan
Establishes and maintains tracking and monitoring systems for health care quality improvement activities according to regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, policies and procedures and contractual agreements.
Ensure all new hire and new contractors have completed all requirements prior to working with clients. Provide department orientation to new staff and ongoing staff development opportunities.
Participates in the development, review, monitoring and updating of policies and procedures.
Obtains and maintain the Electronic Medical Records. Monitors performance of direct support staff related to documentation and timeliness of documentation. Provides additional mentoring as needed for documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare and Commercial Contracts.
Review the participant?s plan of care for understanding of issues with participants and their goals.
Communicate with case managers and parents on updates, insights, suggestions and questions regarding program entry, required intake information, and ongoing compliance needs.
Assure that the participant?s rights and freedom of choice is supported according to Heartfelt Solutions policies.
Attend required in-services, team meetings, and professional development sessions.
Assure that immediate area is straight and orderly throughout the day.
Be familiar with Heartfelt Solutions policies as well as its mission statement and its meaning.
Answer phones as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of the SCL, HCBS, and Michelle P waiver a plus. Knowledge of provider credentialing and billing is also a plus.
Part-Time may be an option for the right candidate.
Requirements for this position include:
Must be at least 18 years-old
Drug and Background Screenings are a requirement of this position
Driver?s License and automobile insurance required
Organizational Skills and Detail Oriented
Productive typing ability equivalent to 30 w.p.m. required.
Computer knowledge and knowledge of Windows, MS Word and MS Excel preferred
Considerable skill in interpersonal communications and the ability to work well with others as a team required.
Ability to keep accurate records and perform administrative tasks required.
Provider credentialing and behavior health billing and/or waiver compliance experience preferred.
Previous administrative experience is social or behavioral healthcare preferred.
Experience with Medicaid/Medicare is preferred.
Experience with KY Medicaid Waivers (SCL, HCBS, Michelle P.) is preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's Degree in HealthCare, Public Health, Health Administration or directly related degree or equivalent work experience is preferred, but not required
