Program Assistant Personal Care- Part Time or Full Time Job Opening in London, Kentucky - Friends and Companions Day Health Care center has an immediate opening for motivated and dedicated individuals to fulfill the position of "Program Assistant" for the Adult Day Health Care program. The position is for a "Floating" Program Assistant to work a flexible shift in the Centers of Barbourville, London, and Corbin.
Program Assistants are responsible for the personal care, social activities and other duties regarding the center's participants. Applicants must have an understanding of the emotional and social needs and concerns of the aged or chronically ill. Friends and Companions.
Qualifications include :
Must have high school diploma or GED.
Has demonstrated a sincere desire to work with persons of all ages who may be frail, moderately handicapped, slightly confused, or have incapacitating chronic conditions.
Must have a current driver's license and the ability and willingness to travel, and reliable transportation.
Current CPR, First Aid and AED certificate from either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, preferred. (Qualified candidates who do not have certification will be trained upon hire).
