General Accountant Job Opening in Honolulu, Hawaii - Position Title: General Accountant
Well established local company operating food and beverage establishments seeking a General Accountant. Candidate must be flexible and handle changes with poise. Positive attitude is a must and meeting deadlines and detail oriented are key factors to this position.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information for an entity in order to prepare financial reports. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Review invoice entries performed by AP clerk.
Enter daily sales journal entries.
Enter other necessary journal entries such as accruals and reclassification entries.
Perform month-end closing by reconciling all balance sheet items.
Perform P&L trend analysis to ensure completeness of financial statements.
Prepare weekly P&L and perform cost analysis.
Calculate monthly % rent and General Excise Tax.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
2-3 years in public accounting or experience working in an accounting department.
Knowledge of MAS90 is preferred.
Must be organized, focused, with a strong work ethic.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to function independently.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationship with management team.
