Financial Controller Job Opening in Grand Rapids, Michigan - JOB SUMMARY:
The Controller will be part of the management team reporting to the Managing Director. The Controller will lead the Finance team and be responsible for all duties ensuring compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations, providing timely and accurate financial statements reflecting the periodic operational results. Ideal candidate can demonstrate a track record of performing at a high level in a multi-functional, entrepreneurial, environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Excellent computer knowledge with proficiency in Excel
History of producing timely and accurate budgets and financial reports (I.e. BS, IS, CF)
Strong cash management skills while maintaining banking relationships
Strong understanding of EFI-Monarch software systems
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions, AP, AR, PR
Good foundation of manufacturing processes (flexographic printing preferred), with financial leadership experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other employees, customers, & vendors
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Track record of developing BIC policies for an aggressive growth business
Knowledge and understanding of Accounting Principles
Knowledge of Human Resource policies and requirements
4 year degree in Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred
5+ years of managerial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
