Accounts Payable Clerk Job Opening in Taylor, Michigan - A growing Automotive Aftermarket Paint Distributor, headquartered in Taylor, MI is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for all aspects of accounts payable. This person will prepare vendor invoices for payment, process checks, and match checks to invoices, file and interface with vendors and co-workers. This person will also be responsible for ensuring all payments are properly approved and properly coded. Qualified applicants must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be detailed oriented.
Education, Experience and/or Skills Required:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
5 + years of Accounts Payable and general accounting experience.
Thorough knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger procedures and financial chart of accounts.
Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Detailed oriented.
Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualified candidates must be willing and available to work extended hours as needed.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
