Government Sales / Bid Specialist Job Opening in Milford, Delaware - Job Summary:
Manages all government bids, solicitations, un-solicited proposals and quotations. Responsible for ensuring Terms & Conditions, and any "special" requirements on bids and solicitations are met.
Essential Job Duties:
Identifies and maintains a strong pipeline of new bid opportunities to meet or exceed established sales objectives through search engines and bid registration management. Develops alternate channels for bid opportunities such as GSA, E-Buy, Fed-Bid, DOD and all state and federal sites.
Monitors bid market trends such as procurement changes, spending, pricing, specification language, competitive activity, product requirements, etc.
Develops deep knowledge of government bid processes, procurement regulations and product specification attributes.
Organizes and prioritizes bid opportunities based on sales and revenue strategy. Communicates and monitors bid activity with key accounts and dealer network.
Reviews and prepares bid analysis summary reports, historical trend reports, bid calendars and develops strategic insights from bid dashboards. (to include website, Thomas Register, etc.)
Reviews and prepares government bid contracts including organizing special requirements such as bonds, certificates, affidavits by networking with other functional departments across the company.
Prepares pre and post customer communication both written and verbal, develop contract strategy, leads bid team review, organizes the collection of bid tabs and post bid assessment.
Communicates key bid requirements such as special terms, product configurations, prices, delivery and service obligations, etc.
Establishes and maintains relationships with procurement professionals and dealers for supporting bid activity.
Develops organizational capability by establishing enhanced systems, processes and procedures.
Collaborates across functional areas to ensure proper hand offs and knowledge sharing.
Represents Director of Marketing when required.*

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years' related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years? experience with contract review and execution.
Prior expertise in government materials/markets preferred, particularly in government procurement process.
Experience developing product and purchasing specifications is required.
Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills are vital in this role.
Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relations skills are highly required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong computer, research and reporting skills, to include Excel, Word, and Google.
