Gates Collision Centers, INC. with its seventeen locations, is looking to fill a key leadership role in our accounting department. We are looking for a professional with strong GAAP skills to lead our accounting department staff and to implement best practices. The ideal candidate will enjoy coaching staff in the department and at location level to develop their accounting skill sets and be very detail orientated. They will have an audit mentality to ensure continuous compliance with the guidance of our CPA firm.
Key Areas of Responsibility
General
Balance sheet reconciliations
Creation of month end journal entries
Bank reconciliations
Compilation of financial statements
Creation and updating of various schedules
End of year tax preparations
End of year 1099 Preparations
Accounts Payable Verify approval on all invoices and check requests
Coding invoices
Able to prepare and process checks for multiple companies
Reconciles vendor statements
Ability to process and follow-up on rush items
Consults with Accounting staff Location Managers Third party vendors

Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in Accounting Proficient user of QuickBooks Proficient with Microsoft Excel Technology savy Strong desire to learn new business concepts
Ability to recognize weaknesses with internal controls and devise processes to mitigate future risk Ability to learn how to use software intended for the general business public and maintain working knowledge of its use
