Program Overview and Responsibilities:
The Elastic Stack DevOps Engineer will support a long-term, cutting-edge research and development program for one of the country?s highest priority cyber initiatives. He or she will have the opportunity to work with technical leaders in threat hunting, computer science, machine learning, and data analytics to develop the next generation of analytic-driven cyber defense platforms.
Expertise in client side development using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5 and CSS3.
Should have experience in Elastic search, Spring Batch, Bootstrap, Semantic UI, HBase and Nuxeo
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
Should have experience in both Waterfall and agile Scrum Methodology.
Individuals in this role will have the opportunity to:
Work with the distributed analytics team to format and ingest analytic output.
Design and implement second level analytics using Elastic Search.
Provide recommendations and design optimal configurations for large-scale deployments.
Perform Elastic search performance and configuration tuning.
Collaborate with dev. team to architect, develop and optimize Kabana visualizations
Required Qualifications:
At least 7 years? total experience
3-5 years of experience Linux/ELK systems development and/or administration
Familiarity in configuration and maintenance in ELK/Elastic Stack
Significant experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python
