National Sales Manager, Marquardt Switches Inc.

This position is responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives in both existing and prospective markets and technologies within the Global Marquardt US distribution network focusing on standard switches, sensors, and controls.

Essential Responsibilities:
Oversee operations to assure that receipts and dealer shipments are processed timely, correctly, and efficiently in order to prevent receipt backlog, inventory discrepancies, and avoid costly shipping errors.

Work as a liaison between Marquardt global locations, end customers, Marquardt distributor network, and supply chain operations to maximize the ability to deliver all whole goods in an accurate and timely manner to the dealers.

Proactively identify and correct any supply issues which would prevent achieving the division annual wholesale plan as well as other corporate objectives.

Ensure maximum performance to yearly sales plan through close relationships with Marquardt global distribution team members, US based sales manager network, and national distribution team members.

Develop performance standards to measure customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness and implement strategies for constant improvement.

Monitor all traffic operations for inbound and outbound domestic freight for suppliers and operations monitored include: pricing, service levels, damage control, claims, theft, and performance measurement.

Monitor the cosmetic and general condition of goods received at warehouses and shipped to dealer by handling shortage and damage claims; reports and corrects problems with product packaging or handling procedures.

Resolve distribution issues and respond to related inquiries from dealers, sales management and other company departments to maintain a high customer service levels.

Develop recommendations relating to forecasting, ordering, and stock transfers for optimum inventory levels and availability of product for dealers.

Implement and enforce corporate distribution policies and procedures on a divisional level and cross train employees and national distribution network to better understand Marquardt products, policies and procedures.

Translate overall strategic business objectives into specific department initiatives. Develop status reports and visibility of department activity for frequent presentation to upper management. Plan and share ideas/goals for the future.

Required Qualifications for this role include:
Bachelor?s degree in business administration or engineering

7+ years? experience in components/systems sales for OEM?s.

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Previous experience leading sales or development projects within the power tool or similar industries.

Previous experience leading or supporting projects within a product development environment.

Previous experience in a technical or electronics related sales environment

Travel:
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, mostly local, as needed required 15% of time.

Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for extended periods

Ability to occasionally stand and walk

Ability to use close vision, color vision, and depth perception for extended periods
