This position is a developer on the X1 Personalization (Recommendations) team.
Required Qualifications:
Deep knowledge of object-oriented design as well as core data structures and algorithms
Expertise in a modern programming language such as Java (2-4 years of Java)
Demonstrable experience building production-grade systems / web services
Familiarity with distributed computing concepts, frameworks and tools
Exceptional communication skills: verbal, written and listening
Desired Qualifications:
Experience developing on Hadoop using Map-Reduce or Spark a plus
Knowledge of Machine Learning or AI techniques a plus
Exposure to recommender systems a plus
