We are Jaeckle Distributors, a Wisconsin based business to business flooring and surfacing Distribution Company and we have a great opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist at our Madison, WI corporate location.

WHAT will I do in this role?
Primary responsibility is depositing the daily payments and then accurately posting those payments to the respective customer accounts:
_ Process daily cash deposit and ACHs with on-line bank service
_ Post daily cash deposit and ACHs to customer accounts
_ Actively apply critical thought for resolving exceptions in the posting process
_ Apply credits/adjustments to customer accounts
_ Count/balance Customer Service cash box at end of each day
_ Responsible for the maintenance and reconciliation of branch petty cash boxes
Be a trusted resource for completing other Accounting duties:
_ Reconcile bank balances daily
_ Approval and problem resolution of freight invoices
_ Prepare quarterly fuel reports
_ Assist with AP data entry as necessary
_ Assist with entry of month-end journal entries
WHAT skills do I need to have to be successful in this role?
The person in this position must be organized in their daily work processes and detail oriented. He/She will be expected to independently problem solve and be confident in making decisions.
This person will have a desire to learn and grow in their Accounting skills and knowledge.
He/She will be relied upon to readily help out others in a positive manner and be skilled in a variety of tasks that support the overall operation of the business. This individual brings a positive attitude to daily challenges and is a trusted co-worker.
Required Skills:
Associate degree in Accounting
Minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience
Proficient in Outlook, Excel
Excellent data entry and 10 key skills
Pride in being organized with an attention to detail
Enjoy making decisions independently
Excellent problem solving skills
Willingness and work ethic to take initiative and responsibility for outcomes.
