Accounting Manager for Food and Beverage Company Job Opening in Kansas City, Missouri - Accounting Manager for Food and Beverage Company for a restaurant and bar consulting company that operates 14 locations in downtown?s Kansas City Power and Light District and the Kansas City Live Block. Accounting Manager will handle processing accounts payable, weekly and period end financial statements, cost analysis, balance sheets, bank reconciliations and other financial responsibilities.
Use of Great Plains or similar accounting software. Great Plains not required but a plus.
Sales data entry from store point of sale system (Aloha and CTUIT).
Accounts Payable ? entry and upload of weekly AP invoices.
Weekly AP check run.
Credit card and bank deposit verification for all venues. Verifying all cash and credit card deposits are in the bank weekly and match the sales report.
Paid out entries and tracking for 1099 vendor spreadsheets (Contract Labor).
Weekly Sales tax entries, Sales tax returns once a month. Sales Tax collection reconciliation, monthly.
Inventory adjustments (Food and Beverage) ? weekly.
Inventory tracking (Food and Beverage) ? weekly.
Email and send invoices received in the office to the store?s GM weekly by Friday.
Monthly, preparation of the store?s financial statement and a variance report.
Monthly, balance sheet account reconciliation; includes but not limited to: accounts receivables, deposits, safe fund, accrued liabilities and pre-paid accounts.
KC Only ? Oversee the Change Order Spreadsheet Reconciliation by Live Block Admin. Download transaction Reports from UMB each Friday for the entire week.
KC Only ? Oversee Live Block Admin credit card charge back communication.

Job Requirements
Degree or coursework in accounting or 2+ years? experience
Proficient in Excel
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Strong computer skills
Strong analytical skills
Experience with Great Plains is a plus
