Accountant Job Opening in Hazelwood, Missouri - Transportation company from Saint Louis, MO is looking for a full time Accountant to carry out bookkeeping the company and all its affiliated companies. Work is Monday - Friday, 8 am-4.30 pm, 40-45 hours a week.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Account Payable
Accounts Receivable
Employee Payroll
PNL
General ledger
Bank statement reconciliations
Profit and Loss, financial statements
Asset registry and control
Revenue analysis
Accounting and calculation aspects of all new contracts
Meeting all deadlines, payment due dates and invoicing terms
Verifying and balancing receipts
Assisting CPAs on tax return preparation
Generating 1099's and W-2's for
Providing monthly and yearly financial reports
Requirements:
Knowledge of computerized accounting software
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
Ability to operate calculator, computer, and other general office equipment
Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions and payroll returns
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English
Must keep client matters strictly confidential
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
Knowledge of accounting techniques and procedures
Outstanding attention to details
Professional attire and punctuality
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred, but not required
Accounting experience in the field is preferred, but not required
