Implementation Specialist ? The mission of the Education Fund is to empower our diverse healthcare workforce to advance in a changing environment through innovative education and training solutions.
Job description
We are seeking an Implementation Specialist (IS) to implement education and training programs and carry out outreach and recruitment responsibilities. This is a salaried position located in our Oakland office and reporting to the Director of Outreach and Communications. Although Education Fund staff may be assigned to any program, this position is initially intended to work on the Outreach Program.
Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and coordinate the implementation of education and training programs for healthcare workers represented by SEIU UHW - West and other unionized employees who are eligible for Education Fund services.
Be responsible for program logistics, coordinating with employers and educational providers, communicating with participants, and collecting and analyzing data.
Spend significant time performing one-on-one, small group outreach, and other visibility efforts; and, recruiting program participants at various healthcare facilities in the Bay Area region of California.
Maintain employer and union relationships at all assigned facilities.
Develop and maintain reports shared across the Fund as well as external stakeholders.
Work as a team member along with educational, employer and union partners, as well as other staff of the Education Fund.
Update Education Fund staff, union members and managers on program
developments.
Qualifications - A successful candidate will need to...
Minimum of one year?s experience in workforce training, sales or union organizing is required.
Experience working within a union and/or healthcare environment preferred.
Experience using Popular Education, participatory education or education for empowerment methods is strongly preferred.
Must be committed to working within a labor/management environment.
Candidates must be proficient in the use of basic office software (Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
Candidates must also possess excellent organizational and relationship building skills.
A car, California driver?s license and car insurance are also required.
