The National Railroad Retirement Investment Trust (NRRIT or Trust) is a $26 billion trust created by an Act of Congress in 2001 to fund the retirement benefits of eligible railroad workers and their dependents; it is a tax-exempt entity independent from the Federal government with an office in downtown Washington DC.
NRRIT is currently accepting applications for a Financial Analyst. It is seeking a highly motivated individual who can provide reporting, budgetary and operations support in meeting the multi-faceted responsibilities of the Trust. Candidate must have exceptional organizational and analytical skills, a strong attention to detail, demonstrate the ability to initiate and complete projects and work independently.
Responsibilities include cash management, wire transfer movements, budget preparation and cash analysis, monthly financial reporting, general ledger and audit support, investment performance analysis as well as ad hoc analysis as requested. Individual must have strong working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Must exhibit excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. BS or equivalent degree in business, accounting or finance from an accredited university plus 1 to 3 years of experience is required. Experience in the financial services industry is preferable, pension fund experience in financial and investment risk management a plus.
