Overview
Spry Methods is seeking a Financial Analyst I to support Department of the Navy Strategic Systems Programs by providing financial management and contract management support. Qualified candidates must be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors
Performing Account Reconciliation
Preparing funding execution documents and tracking to ensure acceptance and accurate recording in Navy financial systems
Maintaining financial and contract status, history records, reports and assessments to identify program financial resources, obligations, and expenditure data
Performing the research necessary to review, prepare, and track client program requirements
Executing, updating, and tracking weekly funding documents and financial status funds reports and providing financial inputs to senior management
Assisting in the Government?s reconciliation of financial transactions (ULOs/ UMDs) in STARS, EDA, MOCAS, COBRA, Navy ERP and Paying Office records and recommending corrective actions
Preparing supporting data to justify corrections
Maintaining detailed records, binder preparation, and tracking contract financial metrics
Preparing funding execution documents and tracking to ensure acceptance and accurate recording in Navy financial systems
Performing the research necessary to review, prepare, and track program requirements
Required skills and experience include
A Bachelor?s degree in a related field (Accounting, Finance or related field)
An Interim or Active DoD Secret clearance
1-2 years of Accounting/ Finance experience
Preferred skill s
Direct work experience with the Department of Defense (DoD)
