KOMPAN is a world leader in the Play Space industry and are rapidly expanding in the U.S., too. We are looking to hire a Staff Accountant for our new Austin area office (Pflugerville, TX).

The KOMPAN Staff Accountant is an integral part of the Finance team, reporting to the Comptroller. The role focuses on Month and Year end close, Accounts Receivable, Taxes, Reporting and analysis and ERP Systems management.
Month- and year-end close
Prepare month end journal entries to include payroll and other recurring general journal entries
Assist with month end and year end accruals
Assist with commission calculation for direct reps and agency and cooperative contracts
Assist with assets management
Reconcile balance sheet accounts to include bank reconciliations and petty cash accounts
Support year-end close and audit process
Accounts receivable
Receive customer payments and prepare for deposit
Submit customer credit card payments and apply customer payments to accounts
Support Intercompany billings process
Taxes
Maintain sales tax documentation
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annually all sales and franchise tax reports to ensure compliance with state laws
Reconcile sales tax accounts monthly
Collect applicable reseller certificates and tax exemption certificates
Support sales support teams with sales tax questions
Update sales tax rates in ERP system (Navision)
Prepare yearly property tax renditions and reporting
Reporting and analysis : Support Controller and Director with ad hoc reporting and analysis
What we will look for in a candidate:
Four or more years? experience in core accounting role required:
4 year degree in accounting preferred; but not required
Solid experience with ERP systems (similar to/or direct experience with) Navision
Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft office and specifically, Excel and PowerPoint
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, e.g. a good listener
Strong communicator ? verbally and in written form
Solutions/Goal oriented performer
