Financial Reporting Analyst Job Opening in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - The financial reporting analyst manages the process to compile and reconcile many financial metrics and operational key performance indicators for several monthly Executive dashboards and packages, using inputs gathered from contributors. They will also quickly identify and resolve discrepant information through proactive collaboration with peers and independent research into source data.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with colleagues to ensure accuracy of data in financial statement packages and consistency in implementing new general ledger accounts, adoption of standards, and treatment of monthly accruals for the purpose of facilitating comparable financial statement reporting in actuals and in plans and forecasts
Consolidate and compile comprehensive P&L packages with various detailed supporting schedules in Excel
Compile the monthly Executive dashboard and supporting materials working with many data contributors
Coordinate schedules for external and internal audits
Perform ad-hoc analyses that require a deep understanding of the relationship between the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, and their impact on cash
Continuously improve data management and reporting processes supporting work papers and models to increase efficiency and improve accuracy of information
Work closely with internal technical resources on maintenance and continuous improvement of tools
Source and reconcile data from multiple systems to create meaningful analyses
Collaborate with others to improve data management processes and tools
Pursue timely and effective change management practices for system and manual process improvements
Maintain detailed procedures so they may be replicated
:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, or Finance required
CPA or CMA highly preferred
Experience Required:
3-5 years related work experience (public accounting experience preferred).
Advanced Excel modeling skills; well versed in creating pivots and utilizing Excel
Ability to extract and analyze data from various systems
Skills/Abilities:
Auditor mindset in approaching all work; high level of inquisitiveness and natural tendency to ensure efficiency and process controls in the execution of all work
Collaborate proactively with colleagues of all levels
Ability to multi task effectively to work with multiple deadlines.
High level verbal and written communication skills
