Staff Auditor - Compliance Audit Job Opening in Lawton, Oklahoma - JRMB II, Inc. is a local bank holding company providing internal audit services to client banks. We are seeking Staff Auditors to work in the audit department as part of the audit team responsible for performing bank regulatory compliance audits. Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or related field with emphasis in accounting or auditing required. Auditors must be able to effectively communicate both in writing and orally. Auditors are responsible for conducting audits by examining, collecting, and analyzing data and findings; evaluating efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls; and verifying that procedures and policies comply with regulatory requirements. Auditors work with client management to complete the audits, document the findings, provide detailed reports of audit findings, and make recommendations to improve internal controls and verify compliance with banking regulations. Auditors must be able to read and understand banking regulations and be able to apply that knowledge when conducting the compliance audits. Occasional travel required. Description
Perform assigned audits and complete audits and reports by designated deadlines. Must be able to learn, comprehend, and perform various audits and reviews that may include any or all of the following types of audits; bank audits, branch audits, compliance audits, IT audits, loan reviews, specialty audits, and other projects as assigned.
Perform audits by: testing, examining, analyzing; making recommendations; and communicate findings to management, committees, and board of directors both verbally and in writing.
Submit reports and other communications to audit supervisors for review and approval before distribution to management.
Submit audit work papers and other documentation to supervisors for review and complete assigned follow-up tasks and corrections as instructed.
Responsible for updating the exception database after each report and entering management responses as soon as they are received.
Provide updates, status reports, schedules, and other information to supervisors as requested.
Apply effective and efficient time management skills to complete audits and projects on time. Document, update, and maintain work papers and reports including exception tracking and final archiving.
Attend contact meetings, department meetings, team meetings, management meetings, and other meetings and discussions as assigned.
Attend training sessions and classes to include individual and department training, webinars, seminars, and other learning events to maintain and improve technical skills and knowledge.
Must be able to comply with all corporate policies and regulatory requirements including protection of information and confidentiality as well as professional and regulatory standards and ethics.
Travel approximately 5% of the year.
Complete other job duties as assigned.
Must have a valid driver?s license in order to travel to various local onsite locations and out of state locations.
