Branch Accounting Associate Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Cascade Pacific Floor Distributors, A Portland Wholesale Distributor has an immediate need for a full-time Branch Accounting Associate. The Accounting Associate is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures throughout the organization's accounting cycle for Cascade Pacific Washington or Oregon. This includes processing documents including, but not limited to, invoices, cash receipts, vendor invoices and statements; reviewing and coding financial information; compile and review information for accuracy; and maintain records.
The Accounting Associate is also expected to apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the accounting process and the Branch need a high energy individual that wants to grow with a company and can work well under pressure, must be able to multitask.
Excellent Customer Service Skills is a must. * Skilled in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software. * Knowledge of accounting terminology and practices. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, helpful. * Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations. * Knowledge of and experience with financial computer applications, spreadsheets and database software.
Education and/or Experience*High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Some college preferred, 2-4 years of accounting experience. We offer company paid medical insurance, company-paid life insurance, dental insurance, AD&D, PTO (paid-time-off) (accrued per pay period). We also offer an incentive plan, as well as a 401K position under FLSA is considered FULL-TIME, non-exempt (hourly). Number of hours and consistency of days worked are Monday through Friday, Saturdays will be as needed.
