Aquatics Associate (Lifeguard w/ LGI Certification) Job Opening in colorado springs, Colorado - Aquatics Associate (Lifeguard w/ LGI Certification) AQUATICS ASSOCIATE (LIFEGUARD w/ LGI CERTIFICATION) VillaSport Athletic Club and Spa is a full-service athletic club for the entire family. POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to implement all water safety policies and procedures; preventing and responding to emergencies; act as customer service ambassadors to members and guests in VillaSport aquatic areas assisting them with any concern or needs within capabilities and parameters of the position. RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Able to react calmly and effectively in an emergency situation ? Continuously and effectively supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety ? Promptly and courteously enforce established rules of conduct and safety behavior ? Prepare routine administrative paperwork ? Perform essential lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques ? Teach lifeguard and CPR classes as assigned ? Report any problems with equipment, staff, members, facilities and safety in a timely manner to a senior staff member or supervisor ? Activate established Emergency Action Plan when needed ? Assist with cleaning and maintenance of swim facility ? Record and document any findings necessary for chemical readings, incident and accident reports ? Maintain required lifeguard qualifications and certifications throughout employment ? Render first aid to injuries utilizing appropriate techniques ? Provide first-class customer service at all times ? Maintain and improves club knowledge ? Adhere to all club and department policies and procedures ? Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: ? Current C.P.R., AED, and Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) with first aid certifications required ? Minimum 1 year of lifeguard experience required ? Must be 19 years of age. ? Understands and utilizes aquatics gold standards and bench marks ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Ability to work with minimal supervision ? Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational ?
