International Shipping Coordinator Job Opening in Canton, Michigan - Energy International Corporation (EIC) is looking for a qualified candidate for this FULL TIME position. The person filling this position will be responsible for the following:
Accurate and timely data entry into our accounting system.
Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, other sister offices worldwide, and co-workers through high volume of email, phone, instant message, and in person.
Maintain compliance standards at all times- including internal policies and procedures, external government regulations, and customer requirements.
Determine the most effective and efficient method of shipping/pick-ups, negotiate rates and provide documentation as required for each shipment
Coordinate with freight forwarders regarding tentative pick up dates, estimates of pieces, weights and dimensions with a sense of urgency.
Experience in processing domestic and international shipments
Effective oral and written communication skills
High attention to detail, strong organizational and leadership skills
Experience preparing export documents required to clear shipments through foreign customs
Experience preparing documents need to fulfill requirements of Letters of Credit
Experience working with letters of credit including preparation of documents necessary to comply with specific letters of credit.
The candidate in this position must have experience using an accounting software and be very comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. They must also have the following qualities:
Excellent follow-through and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are a necessity.
Effective organizational skills.
Concern for Accuracy.
This position should expect to work 40 hours a week. Benefits include 401k matching, health, vision and dental insurance. Life Insurance and AD&D. Paid time off and paid federal holidays.
Work week is M-F with flexible (but consistent) start and end time, starting anywhere between 7-8:30am
