Sales Director Job Opening in Bozeman, Montana - Yellowstone Grassfed Beef is looking for a Sales Director to lead the company in growing existing local wholesale markets and securing new regional and national markets. A successful candidate must be able to identify new opportunities to increase Wholesale and Direct-to-Consumer accounts, direct the steps to secure these accounts, and accurately track and project accounts, sales and products. This position is responsible for developing a strategy for sales growth, driving sales and account management, and measuring progress against goals. The position is designed for someone looking to step into a growing company and bring energy, creativity, and leadership to sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead all sales strategy for Yellowstone Grassfed Beef; responsible for recruiting, building, and tracking new revenue.
Work with the Managing Director to develop and implement strategies for securing new accounts and achieving YGB?s sales goals
Solidify and strengthen YGB?s relationships with existing accounts
Develop a strong understanding of the local and regional grassfed beef market and market potential, identify and pursue new markets for the product
Assist in marketing and branding strategy to align with potential markets
Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly sales activity and trends; work with team to ensure beef supply supports demand; report on weekly sales updates and monthly sales plans
Track and compile data related to customer and prospect interactions
Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to Managing Director
Support and engage in a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement

QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of sales experience (specialty food industry preferred)
Experience in working independently and driving sales in an entrepreneurial environment
Excellent communication skills
Experience managing network of customers from chefs, meat managers and institutional buyers
A passion for nourishing food, vibrant communities, and healthy landscapes

REQUIREMENTS
A successful candidate will have experience in growing sales for a specialty product (organic, local, premium, etc.) with a strong understanding of sales strategy. A track record of developing and implementing sales strategy as well as getting results through new customer acquisition is a must. While knowledge of the beef industry is not necessary, experience in the food industry is preferable. A strong desire to learn about grassfed beef and regenerative agriculture is crucial.
