Bookkeeper Job Opening in sacramento, California - Bookkeeper St. Mark's United Methodist Church seeks a detail oriented individual to record and process the church's financial transactions and produce financial statements. Must have knowledge of general bookkeeping principles and procedures. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to fit well within the passionate hard-working team that supports this progressive, social justice oriented church. This is a 32/hr per week position Qualifications: Experience with bookkeeping and payroll principles and procedures. Knowledge of non-profit and/or church bookkeeping a plus. Ability to effectively create and use a variety of spreadsheets. Ability to learn and effectively use a specialized church accounting program (Power Church Plus). Duties: Prepare financial statements and reports. Process payroll and maintain related records, filings, and reports. Prepare and process accounts payable.
