Regional Sales Manager Job Opening in Two Rivers, Wisconsin - The Metal Ware Corporation is looking for a dynamic and energetic Regional Sales Manager to oversee all aspects of key retail accounts and become an integral part of the new management team.
Metal Ware is a fast growing private corporation in the housewares and sporting goods industry with both domestic and international manufacturing. Metal Ware is the corporation behind National brands including: Nesco/American Harvest, Empire, Chard, Carey, HSx, and Open Country in addition to licensed brands including DeWALT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To build and maintain a high performance sales organization to effectively achieve business objectives.
Create and implement effective direct sales strategies and lead nationwide direct sales personnel toward achievement of corporate sales objectives.
Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.
Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
Provide sales management, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning.
Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of sales staff.
Proactively identify market and product trends to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Partner with the Vice President of Sales in the development of key customer relationship management.
Negotiate vendor agreements
Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor?s degree with at least 5 years of experience managing a direct sales force
Skills:
Experience and success in recruiting and retaining a high performance sales team and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse sales team.
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales plans.
Proven business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage business and P&L to meet objectives.
Demonstrated ability to professionally develop and coach team members.
Strategy development, project management, problem solving, and change management skills.
Solid understanding of retailer and regulatory requirements and issues.
Exceptional negotiation skills.
Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
Ability to effectively present information and negotiate with all levels of customer management including CFO, CIO, CEO, CMO.
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
Business related computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel as required, estimated to be 25% or more
