Senior Software Engineer Job Opening in Fort Eustis, Virginia - Capstone Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Army Training Information Architecture (ATIA) Application Sustainment Program. The Senior Software Engineer will support the overall mission to provide system configuration and documentation, architecture analysis, software application maintenance, database maintenance, and information assurance documentation and maintenance.
This position is located at Fort Eustis, VA and will be filled upon final contract award.
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, manages software development and support using CMMI and Agile methodologies, formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques, and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.
Interprets software requirements and designs specifications code, and integrates and tests software components.
Estimates software development costs and schedule.
Reviews existing programs and assists in implementing refinements, reducing operating time and improving current techniques.
Supervises software configuration management.
Analyzes and studies complex system requirements.
Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses, and manages their implementation.
May supervise teams and personnel designing and supporting software efforts.
Develops, designs and delivers courseware and training related to information technology and cyber security related issues.
In support of the sustainment of the software applications, analyzes and updates software and documentation in a comprehensive manner by considering objectives of Problem Report (PR) and Change Requests (CR), estimating level of efforts, integrating changes, planning data schema changes.
Minimum education and years of experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing software engineering.
Bachelor?s degree or substitute four years of experience.
May require knowledge or experience with one or more of the following: JAVA Enterprise Edition, Oracle Glassfish, Apache Tomcat, Apache Web Server, Oracle RDBMS and Oracle Grid Control administration, Microsoft Internet Information Server, Microsoft C#, Microsoft , Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Active Directory, RESTful Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Apache SOLR, Ruby on Rails, Semantic search and indexing, Android and iOS Mobile apps, mobile/responsive web design, (B2B) authentication methods, NodeJS, MongoDB, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular2, GraphQL, Camtasia, Audacity, Audio/Visual editing, video and screencasts, Red Hat Linux, Microsoft Windows Server, Subversion, Hudson, SharePoint, XML Schema, JSON, Resource Management Framework, DODAF and similar technologies.
