Account Manager Job Opening in Charleston, South carolina - SIOP MANAGER POSITION
JOB SUMMARY
SIOP is the link between Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning, and responsible for managing key Supply Chain related functions such as materials planning, scheduling activities, inventory control and warehousing, shipping and receiving. Manages and directs supply chain personnel in the procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels. The incumbent is responsible for examining existing procedures for continuous improvement opportunities in order to streamline and increase efficiencies as well as leading WCM efforts within the area of control.
This position will also be responsible for providing a variety of reports to support management decisions, conducting analysis of data trends, review of MRP master data for accuracy, forecasting tasks and analysis. The position requires a high level of interaction with Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Planning, and will work very closely with Purchasing.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Forecasting ?
Creates timely, accurate and complete forecasts
Work with the Sales and Marketing, Product Management and Customer Service teams to obtain customer forecast information to ensure the correct amounts of inventory
Review database records for data integrity issues and recommend changes
Provide data analysis necessary for off-season inventory build plan and safety stock decisions
Reporting ?
Will provide weekly and monthly inventory reports as needed for Customers, Sales, Operations, and Customer Service
Generate weekly and monthly planning reports for the sales team/customers and other reports as requested
Logistics ?
Work closely with the Logistics and Planning Managers to provide overall strategy and programs for product warehousing and shipping
Oversee all modes of transportation for both international and domestic shipments while ensuring that a balance between service and low cost is achieved. Monitor and assure compliance with all government regulations regarding the domestic transportation, importations and exportation of raw materials and finished goods
Ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain to achieve cost-effective logistics practices and inventory levels while meeting customer delivery requirements
Maximize business systems use and effectiveness including revision to existing tools and expansion of new business tools (SAP)
WORK EXPERIENCE/ REQUIRED CERTIFICATION
Bachelor degree desired. Successful and applicable work experience is acceptable in place of formal degrees.
Business, supply chain, manufacturing, Industrial Engineering
Minimum 5 years successful work experience
Demonstrated front line supervision experience
APICS Certification
