Counselor/LPN Job Opening in shreveport, Louisiana - Counselor/LPN Professional Counselors: Non-profit social and human service agency seeks qualified and experienced professional counselors for in-patient residential treatment services for chemically dependent men and women. Professional counselor roles include: conducting screening and assessments; providing individual, family, and group counseling; developing treatment plans; creating and maintaining client charts in compliance with regulatory agencies; facilitating discharge planning; developing behavior modification interventions and; providing follow-up and aftercare services. Positions are currently available in Shreveport. The requirements for the position include, but are not limited to the following: ? Must have a current license or certification (LCSW, LPC, etc.) or be a Masters-prepared social worker or counselor with a Masters Degree from a State of Louisiana Recognized Institution; ? Demonstrated experience providing substance abuse treatment services in a residential or in-patient environment; ? Experience with substance abuse treatment models and an understanding of treatment modalities is expected; ? Knowledge of community resources and services is preferred; ?
