Reports to: Aire Ancient Bath Chicago Director
Aire Ancient Baths is a luxury bath house and massage center, coming to Chicago in Fall, 2017. The brand?s concept is to recuperate the Roman tradition of baths in restored historical buildings, offering a unique and unparalleled experience. We are seeking a knowledgeable and hard-working Accounting Associate to oversee the financial tracking and operation of the company?s forthcoming River West facility. The Accounting Associate will be the main person responsible for the Center?s finances, including tracking and paying bills and invoices, and assist with (and potentially oversee) the payroll process. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the financial obligations and processes of running a business, be extremely patient and detail-oriented, and have a positive, ?can-do? attitude.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Receive and process invoices for payment, seeking approval from the Director when necessary
Write manual checks weekly
Reconcile daily and monthly sales of business
Investigate & process refunds, manage merchant disputed cases and communicate with clients
Balance and track company credit card activity
Process and distribute employee tips on a regular basis
Maintain and be responsible for petty cash supply
Deposit money to merchant accounts
Possibly assist with payroll administration
Order office and operational supplies
Other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
A supreme level of organization
Extremely detail oriented
Ability to follow through on tasks and follow up on outstanding items
A clever, problem solving mind that is equally patient and resilient
Strong oral and written communication skills to aid in customer service relations
Familiar with online merchant terminals, have a history with credit card processing & refunds
Able to stay on top of deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Knowledge and familiarity of insurance policies and state tax requirements
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus but not required
This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
