Essential Functions
Assist in implementing inventory accounting policies and procedures per GAAP
Assist in analyzing product costs, inventory, reserves, and manufacturing variances, analyze and monitor standard product costs,
Periodic/Monthly review of Inventory Adjustments with team. Provide guidance on using appropriate adjustment type for each type of inventory adjustments.
Assist in month and year end close
Ad-hoc projects related to STD cost analysis
Assist in preparation of monthly financial statement and analysis
Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries
Produce and analyze periodic financial reports
Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of certain accounts, provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions
Assist in the preparation of year-end schedules
Performs additional duties including special projects on an ad-hoc basis upon request
Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge and understanding of financial statements, general ledger required.
High proficiency in GAAP with emphasis on inventory principles required.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet tight deadlines
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional in Excel
Education requirements
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting
CPA / CMA or another advanced accounting certification or ?on track to? strongly preferred
Preferred Skills
A year or two in cost accounting experience in a mid to large size manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
