Senior Accountant Job Opening in Simpsonville, Kentucky - The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and reporting financial transactions of the business.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
Perform A/P activities ensuring accuracy and timeliness - coding invoices, matching invoices to receiving documents, obtaining invoice approvals, vouchering invoices into the accounting system, determine check payments, print checks, file check stubs/invoices
Accounts Receivable
Post invoices and credits, apply payments, and work with the collection function
Payroll
Responsible for processing payroll for certain employees and fielding any questions relative to that payroll
General Ledger
Various monthly accounting duties (i.e. journal entries, financial statement review and analysis, bank reconciliation, reporting)
Various month-end close activities
Inventory oversight
Prepare sales tax returns
Research variances and trends of both revenues and expenses
Assist with annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting
Various projects as needed
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years? overall accounting responsibility such as those listed above
Minimum of Associate?s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Self-driven and self-managed
Able to switch priorities quickly ? flexibility is key
Bring solutions to the table, not problems
Have a sense of urgency and able to prioritize quickly
Preferences
Accounting experience in the Spirits Industry a plus
Working knowledge of QuickBooks
