Director/Manager, Business Development & Administration Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - The Ryan Seacrest Foundation (RSF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring today?s youth through entertainment and education focused initiatives. RSF?s main initiative is to build broadcast media centers, named Seacrest Studios, within pediatric hospitals for patients to explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media. RSF?s aim is to contribute positively to the healing process for children and their families during their stay by developing these centers to bring an uplifting spirit to the hospital community. We believe access to multimedia experiences will bring patients exciting and stimulating adventures to encourage optimistic thoughts during treatment. It is also important to us to reach out to the community and involve students from local journalism schools by providing them with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in broadcasting, programming and operating a multimedia center.
We are currently seeking a Director or Manager, Business Development for our Nashville office. Title will be dependent upon the identified candidate's experience level. This position will work directly with the Executive Director/COO and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Job Responsibilities:
Partner with the Executive Director/COO to steward an effective and efficient fundraising program to support the development strategy for the Foundation.
Build and maintain relationships with existing donors, sponsors and corporate partners while cultivating new ones.
Will assist Executive Director/COO to oversee celebrity ambassador program. Working directly with talent and their representation.
Partner with Executive Director/COO to plan and oversee operations of all Foundation events, including studio openings, fundraisers, internal board meetings and summits.
Responsible for internal fundraising operations and ensuring Foundation policies and procedures are followed.
Oversee the Foundation?s hospital application process.
Act as a liaison with all partner hospitals including communications, events and programming.
Oversee the Foundation?s Social Media platforms and communication.
Oversee all outside consultants (e.g. tech, IT and website) hired by the Foundation.
Work with Executive Director/COO to create, update and maintain all Foundation documents and records.
Support the Executive Director/COO as needed.
Required/Preferred Skills and Qualifications
A minimum of three years? experience in the not-for-profit sector or entertainment with a strong knowledge of fundraising and/or working with high net worth individuals, foundations or corporations.
Innate passion in not-for-profit work.
Previous experience and comfort working with various levels of talent and their representation.
Proven ability to manage events and oversee all timelines and logistics to meet all set goals.
An existing network of potential donors and partners that can help further the mission of the Foundation.
Motivated and innovative self-starter who is team-oriented with a passion for problem-solving.
Outstanding organizational talents coupled with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
General understanding of Social Media and WordPress backend functionality.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the gravitas and sophistication to interact with corporate sponsors, healthcare executives and entertainment partners.
Unparalleled oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complicated issues into a clear and concise manner.
Unquestioned integrity and ethics.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality standards.
Bachelor?s Degree required.
