Administrator in Training (AIT) ? Skilled Nursing Facility A... Job Opening in Corona, California - NOTE: The posting for NAHCI?s AIT Program has been running since June 2017. If you have applied to any of our current AIT ads please do not reapply. This job requires a master?s degree, but a bachelor?s degree may be sufficient if the candidate has five to 10 years of progressive leadership experience.
North American Health Care is selecting highly motivated MBA, MHA, or MPH graduates for its impressive Administrator in Training (AIT) program (Applicants with a Business Management Bachelor?s Degree are welcome to apply with six or more years of business leadership and/or outstanding sales experience) ? Upon successful completion of approximately eight months of training and your receipt of the NHA license, you will be given leadership of a skilled nursing facility (SNF) of between 50 and 100 patients and between 75 and 150 employees. North American?s reputation for quality patient care is second to none in the skilled nursing facility profession. North American?s 34 facilities have the highest Medicare rating with 27 facilities at 5-Star and seven at 4-Star ? No other skilled nursing facility operator of our size in the United States has such a high percentage of 5-Star facilities. As an administrator, you will be interacting daily with highly skilled employees including nurses, physicians, and hospital administrators.
North American Health Care is a private healthcare services company that assists each of the client facilities it serves to provide health services in a way that creates satisfied customers and dedicated employees. Client facilities are located in the states of California and Washington.
The compensation and benefits package is highly competitive and is in the top two percent of the industry with no compensation cap for our licensed administrators. The initial six to eight-month AIT training period (?internship?) includes an annual base salary of between $50,000 and $65,000 based on leadership experience, overall business experience, among others credentials. After licensure and placement, the base salary is increased to the high end of the industry standard with potential for significant bonuses in the first two years, based on a performance formulary that is readily obtainable. The benefits package also includes an employer-sponsored health, dental, vision, and 401(k) retirement savings plan.
The ideal candidate will have completed an MBA, MHA, or MPA degree with a GPA above 3.0 (verifiable transcript and an in-depth official background check by the State of California) to enter the AIT program (applicants with Business Management Bachelor?s Degree are welcome to apply with 6 or more years of Business Leadership experience). The training program requires six to eight months of work in a skilled nursing facility, working directly with a licensed administrator (preceptor) in order to acquire the total hours to receive the federal license (California requires their state?s license as well) as an administrator of a skilled nursing facility (almost all of our preceptors have a minimum of five years? experience as a licensed, successful administrator). You must pass a federal examination to receive the federal license ? the State of Washington requires only the federal license, whereas California requires the AIT to also pass a California examination in order to secure the California license. Upon completion of our AIT program, the candidate must be willing and able to relocate to the local community of any client facility in the North American Health Care system (geographic preference will be considered of course). Please do not apply if you are unwilling to relocate permanently.
