We are seeking a Supervisor for our Patient Services department! The Supervisor is responsible for supervision of our employees & overall quality of our Patient Service Centers and Physician Office sites!
This position is a full time, salaried position. Hours have a variable start of 7 AM & 8 AM, Monday ? Friday with occasional Saturday rotation; appx 40 hours a week.
Required to float to all Patient Service Center sites.
Job Functions:
Oversees daily operations of and assists manager with overall efficiency and quality of operations of the departments. Performs moderately complex testing commensurate with training and ability.
Supervision of employees: Trains or coordinates training, documents performance, provides coaching, reinforcement, counseling, and commendation, assesses and maintains staff competency, communicates changes in policies to staff, maintains confidentiality of all employees employment related activities within the department.
Models and supports Exceptional Service Plus with internal and external customers. Monitors customer service provided at site. Investigates and solves problems. Requires being available by phone for on-call and problem solving.
Performs all operational tasks.
Maintains knowledge of equipment, computer systems, and billing systems.
Adheres to the laboratory?s quality control policies, reviews, and documents all quality control activities.
Requirements:
Prefer overall working knowledge of clinical laboratory functions, as well as an understanding of the health care environment, HMO?s, PPO?s, and other regulatory issues relating to clinical laboratories.
Associates? degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred
Minimum of one to two years? supervisory experience
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requires ability to effectively work with department employees, other laboratory & hospital departments, patients, physicians, and clients in a professional manner.
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability.
Must possesses strong computer skills including experience with MS Word & Excel. Requires the ability to professionally communicate in emails and formal documents.
