The position is responsible for scheduling repair and service on customer marine equipment within management's guidelines for productivity, safety and efficiency.
Schedule and ensure completion of preventative maintenance and repairs on customer marine equipment.
Keep precise records and schedules.
Ensure accurate billing for services rendered.
Answer customer questions about marine service and repairs.
Understand basic engine and marine mechanics with experience in service and & maintain excellent customer service. Minimum Qualifications:
Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any damage and or accidents to management.
Goals:
2 years experience working around mechanics
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with marine environment and boats.
Working knowledge of marine mechanical systems, electrical and plumbing systems.
Experience with Mercruiser, Volvo inboard and stern-drive propulsion systems.
Able to quickly and efficiently diagnose repairs on all styles and years of marine equipment.
Must have adequate and necessary tools to perform the necessary requirements of the job. Required education:
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Access during repairs can place the body in awkward positions. The employee will frequently be exposed to loud noises and must be able to locate and discriminate sounds in this loud environment. The employee will frequently be exposed to solvents, degreasers, oil and petroleum products and unpleasant fumes.
