Staff Accountant Job Opening in Rice Lake, Wisconsin - Lawrence & Associates is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant for our fun and relaxed office in Rice Lake. We are a small accounting firm (7 - 10 employees) in a beautiful community in northwest Wisconsin. This is a full-time accounting position which will include overtime during the tax filing season, but once the filing season is over, the rest of the year the office is closed on Fridays, giving us 3-day weekends from May through December. For the right person there is opportunity for ever increasing responsibilities, advancement and earning potential.
Responsibilities:
Monthly accounting for small business clients, including; reconciliations, payroll and payroll reports
Ability to work with QuickBooks Accounting Software and provide support to clients working with QuickBooks
Income tax preparation experience not required but preferred
Ability to respond to clients and associates request in a timely, accurate and positive manner
Ability to understand the work and use that understanding to solve problems
:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
1 - 3 years? experience preferred but not required
Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred
