PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Sales Engineer position for Automated Systems combines technical knowledge with sales skills, to secure new sales of Automated Systems in a specific geographical area. Sales personnel are ?the face of the company? and are required to promote the company and our services in a professional manner, treating our customers as an extension of the HCS family.
QUARTERLY ROCKS:
Each quarter the Automated Sales Engineer will establish, with the Equipment Manager and/or VP of Sales, the specific results, improvements, and accomplishments required too support Company and departmental objectives, expressed as ROCKS.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Automated Sales Engineer will routinely travel within specific territory;
Automated Sales Engineer will have strong ability to negotiate and close a sale;
Automated Sales Engineer will meet and/or exceed sales targets;
Automated Sales Engineer will maintain required customer contact data;
Automated Sales Engineer will prepare and present proposals and reports for a variety of audiences;
Automated Sales Engineer will attend trade shows and conferences;
Automated Sales Engineer will be working irregular hours, including evenings and occasional weekends;
Automated Sales Engineer will demonstrate company services & products and processes; providing meaningful value to meet the customer needs;
Automated Sales Engineer will maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, maintain composure with challenging customers;
Automated Sales Engineer will perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. The intent of this position description is to guide the activities of the Sales Engineer. It is not intended too limit the thinking and creativity of the person to the work of this function. Nor is it intended too describe all the work that may be required of the person in this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
Educational Requirements: Minimum GED required. Bachelor?s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements:
Technical Experience : Mechanical, electrical and CAD knowledge preferred.
Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years of sales experience required. Capital sales experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Standing for extended periods of time.
· Driving for extended periods of time.
· Extended hours away from main location of business
· Heavy, but infrequent lifting up to 75 pounds.
· Lifting- raising, lowing or moving objects.
· Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
Pay for this position: $52K plus commission & year end performance bonus possible.
