Staff Accountant Job Opening in Dayton, Ohio - Our company is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial analysis reports and account reconciliations. The successful candidate will be a team player with multi-company consolidation experience and a strong understanding of accrual accounting.
Staff Accountant responsibilities and duties
Prepare accounting related entries to the general ledger journal
Follow our company?s established accounting processes
Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry
Perform monthly bank settlements
Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
Assist with preparation of documentation for external audit(s)
Staff Accountant qualifications and skills
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting required
2+ years? experience in accounting
Proficient in Word and Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Experience with cloud-based accounting system
