Medical Transcriptionist Job Opening in Lowville, New york - This position exists in the County hospital and supports its associated clinics and Residential Health Care Facility and involves responsibility to transcribe and interpret dictation by healthcare providers. This involves interpreting dictation and referring to professional reference materials and resources in order to transcribe accurate data used for quality patient care. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Health Information Management with leeway allowed for exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work. The incumbent does related work as required. Minimum Qual: Completion of a medical secretarial or medical transcription course OR one year of experience in a medical doctor's office, hospital or skilled nursing facility which shall have included the transcription or medical dictation.
