Sales Representative - Packaging Job Opening in New Orleans, Louisiana - In business for over 60 years, Continental Western Corporation is a leading supplier of an entire line of packaging and cordage products in the United States. Our product line includes strapping, stretch film, tape, cordage, gloves and safety, janitorial products and much more.
As a Sales Representative for CWC, you will have the ideal situation ? selling quality products to customers on behalf of a highly respected company. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is driven to success and the rewards that accompany that success. This is not an account management position. You will be expected to introduce, promote and sell CWC quality products by developing your own new customer contacts. You will be assigned a territory and you will be responsible for prospecting and cold calling in that territory with the purpose of bringing in new customers to expand our current customer base.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, highly motivated, customer service minded individual with good presentation and closing skills. Representatives with experience and a background in some form of wholesale packaging products are encouraged to apply.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years+ previous outside selling experience in the area.
- Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic, driven & self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written).
- Experience in networking and cold
- Ability to manage time efficiently. - Excellent closing skills.
- Basic computer skills (working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook as well as the ability to conduct on-line searches for potential customers.
- A valid driver?s license and own vehicle required. Must be able to provide proof of insurance. -
- Bilingual in English/Spanish helpful, but not required.
Compensation includes a base salary, generous commission structure, auto and gas allowance and expense reimbursement. Benefits package includes paid medical, dental, vacation & sick days, 401(k) match, and more.
