My client is seeking a talented and creative individual (reporting to the CIO) to lead a team of software developers in the creation of innovative applications for smart phones and tablets. As the Manager of Digital & Mobile Development, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of a range of products on mobile platforms. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer facing experiences, a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communications skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. The ideal manager will have solid object oriented programming (here come the examples: Java, Objective-C and Cocoa/UIKit) and experience with content management systems (a few more examples: Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress). It�d be ideal if you had experience (or even course work) in database driven client server apps and model view controller concepts. Oh, and you're a natural when it comes to CSS, JavaScript/JSON, XML and HTML. More important than the tools is the fact that my client looks for energy! Responsibilities � Coordinate planning, communications, resources with the Product Management and Technology team � Responsible for the over-all systems development life cycle of a key product sub-system � Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments � Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment � Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining best-of-class engineering team � Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach � Report on status of development, quality, operations and system performance to management Education Requirements: � Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent degree.
