Today, AAFMAA passionately protects members of the American Armed Forces and their families with life insurance coverage up to $1,000,000, wealth management and trust services, Premier Services and our singularly unique Survivor Assistance Services. AAFMAA is looking for a bright, personable individual to help serve our members from our Fort Myer, VA location .

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; specifically, comfortable speaking with AAFMAA members, potential members, and their families in a one-on-one environment. Comfortable working in a small team.
Independent and self-motivated, with strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in an organized, efficient manner.
Ability to learn and thoroughly comprehend complex government programs and explain them in a straightforward manner that is easy to understand.
Strong research and writing skills.
Familiarity with the military, government benefits, entitlement programs, and related retirement issues.
General knowledge of financial services.
Proficiency and experience in using computer database systems preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond efficiently and skillfully to a wide range of AAFMAA member inquiries via written or oral communication. Inform members on military-specific issues such as military retirement planning, military and government benefits for the member and their surviving family, end of life planning, general life insurance questions, Social Security, healthcare and Medicare benefits.
Research, develop and maintain current, in-depth knowledge of relevant subject matters: i.e., military retirement, benefits for surviving family members, Social Security, Medicare, government benefits and entitlement programs.
Manage and maintain members? AAFMAA files, including their private information, digital online depository, and physical document storage. This includes communicating with members to collect or update information, and inputting changes to records as updates come in.
